Offshore Share Plan Summit - September 2018

Inaugural Offshore Share Plans Summit hailed a great success

We were delighted to collaborate with members Intertrust to launch our very first annual Offshore Share Plans Summit in Jersey earlier this month.

Targeting corporates, advisory and law firms, trustees and service providers, this inaugural afternoon event offered seventy delegates up-to-date knowledge and insights relevant to the employee incentives and corporate services industry.

Expert speakers from Intertrust and law firm White & Case advised delegates on dealing with the regulatory overload that the industry faces and how digitalisation is changing the industry today.

Chantelle Zemba, Head of Corporate & Compliance at Deliveroo presented a fascinating case study on how share plans are managed in a high-growth, privately held company.

Gabbi Stopp launched ProShare’s private companies initiative, recognising the increasing appetite for equity-plan services and support amongst companies who are staying private for longer before venturing into public markets.

Shane Hugill, Director of Intertrust's Performance & Reward Management team, said: "We're excited to work with ProShare to launch its first Offshore Share Plans Summit which will be a great annual forum for industry experts to share their knowledge and opinions."

“The summit provided an opportunity to network with industry peers to gain insights into trustee hedging strategies, current best practice for trust financing arrangements and the efficient use of equity capital. It was great to work alongside ProShare on this inaugural event and to welcome so many attendees from the UK and local community.”

Gabbi Stopp, Executive Director of ProShare, said: "Trustees are frequently the unsung heroes of the equity and cash compensation world, which is why we were so pleased to have teamed up with Intertrust to launch our inaugural summit in Jersey. Regardless of whether your compensation strategy is focussed on cash or equity, or both, we want this to be a must-attend event on the share plans industry calendar."
